Job Description:

We are looking for an Omani National, with the relevant degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Petroleum Engineering to join the team in the position of Junior Production Chemist as of 1st of January 2019:
 
 
Typical Roles and Responsibilities shall include but not be limited to the following:
 
•             Monitor, track and maintain adequate field chemical inventories and equipment as necessary
•             Assist with collection of samples and conduct laboratory analysis
•             Engage in problem solving by performing system analysis, interpreting data and providing written recommendations to ensure customer operations are performing at optimal levels
•             Responsible for CMS performance and delivery of annual Service plan
•             Responsible for providing adequate and competent resource and succession planning
•             Responsible for providing support of technical expertise when needed
•             Provide monthly reports of chemical use and spend against forecast to the COMPANY Production Chemist along with a summary of findings of his/her WORKSITE visit.
•             Track and report KPI against plan and provide input into the PRM. Reacting to and suggesting solutions to out of control KPIs. Support in preparing and presenting Business Review Meetings
•             Provide day to day support to operations and escalate any performance issues to the COMPANY Production Chemist. 
•             Provide day to day support to the lab technician, setting sampling schedules and analysis requirements, reporting and executing deployment of all Production Chemistry barriers with the WORKSITE Chemist.
•             Identify and implement opportunities to drive optimization and continuous improvement (CI) to deliver better business performance.  APPROVAL for such CI activities shall be gained through the COMPANY’S Production Chemist.

. The qualifications and experiences required are as per the below
a)            University Science Degree preferred or equivalent.
b)            >5 years’ experience in the oil & gas industry, >3 within chemical alliance relationships will be added advantage
c)            Detailed knowledge of all production chemistry threats
d)            Site experience
